Privacy Policy
The short version
You don't need an account to use FancyPickle, and we don't ask you for personal details to read a guide. We do use analytics, advertising and affiliate tools that set cookies or load small tracking scripts. This page explains exactly which ones.
What we collect
- Usage data. Pages viewed, approximate location (city or region level), device and browser type, and the site that referred you. We collect this with Google Analytics (measurement ID G-Y2374KY457).
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser type and the page requested so it can deliver the site and block abuse.
- Your region choice. If you pick a region in "Play near you," your browser remembers it locally so the choice is still there next time. It stays in your browser. We don't receive it.
- Email you send us. If you write to [email protected], we keep the message so we can reply.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Cookies and similar technologies
These third-party tools may set cookies or read similar identifiers in your browser:
- Google Analytics measures visits and which pages are useful.
- Google AdSense may show ads on our pages, and Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Meta Pixel and Reddit Pixel tell those platforms when a visitor from one of our ads arrives or clicks a product link, so we can measure whether the ads work.
- Amazon Associates. When you click a product link and later buy, Amazon's cookies credit us with the referral.
Your choices
- Turn off personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
- Opt out of many interest-based ad networks at optout.aboutads.info, or from EU/UK users at youronlinechoices.com.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. FancyPickle still works without cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, or the EU/UK), you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Email [email protected] and we'll respond.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
